Hero of Warsaw Ghetto uprising, Marek Edelman, dies at 86

A hero of the Warsaw Ghetto uprising, Marek Edelman, was the last surviving leader of the small Jewish militant groups who fought against the Nazis in 1943 during the final attempt to liquidate the ghetto. Edelman died Friday at his Warsaw home, age 86.

After the war Edelman served as the right-hand man of uprising leader Mordechai Anielewicz and was a long-time activist in the Bund, the General Jewish Labor Union. The organization was known in part for being anti-Zionist, believing that Jews must assert themselves as a part of the societies of their countries of origin.

The dispute led to tension with Edelman's former colleagues from the uprising who immigrated to Israel after surviving the war. In later years, Edelman reportedly warmed to Zionism and met with fellow ghetto fighters who had immigrated here.

Poland was home to the biggest Jewish population in Europe before 1939, but most of them perished in the Holocaust.

The Warsaw Ghetto was established in 1940 and nearly half a million people were forced to live there at some point.

Despite the anti-Semitic policies of Poland's communist authorities after World War II, Edelman never left his homeland. He worked as a cardiologist, married and had two children.

Edelman's memoirs were translated into six languages, including Hebrew.

Obama Unmasked: 40 Czars Later

(Israelnationalnews.com) The Obama administration has created and appointed upwards of 40 "czars". But there is one appointment he has not made - an omission that speaks volumes.
Barack Obama has instructed the State Department to create a new appointment, US Special Representative for

At the ISNA conference, pure hate speech and Islamic anti-Semitism were promoted, and the Obama administration was there.
Imam Warith Deen Umar spoke about his books, Jews for Salaam: The Straight Path to Global Peace, and Judaiology. Umar, the former head of New York prisons' Muslim chaplain program, repeatedly described Jewish conspiracies to control the world: "Why do this small number of people," he asked, "have control of the world? ...There's some people in the world says no Holocaust even happened. Some of their leaders say no Holocaust even happened. Well it did happen. These people were punished. They were punished for a reason, because they were serially disobedient to Allah."
Obama's Department of Homeland Security named to its official advisory council the head of an Arab American organization whose officials have labeled deadly anti-US jihadists as "heroes" and opposed referring to Hamas as a terrorist organization. This is a continuing trend, as indicated by the appointment of Arif Alikhan as Assistant Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security - an appointment that is troubling in many ways.
"Congratulations to Mr. Alikhan on this well-deserved appointment," said Hussam Ayloush, Executive Director of the Los Angeles office of another unindicted co-conspirator in the same Hamas funding case, the Council on American-Islamic Relations. "Mr. Alikhan's new position reflects his and the community's dedication to helping preserve the security of our country. The American Muslim community can be proud of him."
One chief reason for their pride may be Alikhan's instrumental role in pressuring the Los Angeles Police Department to scrap a plan simply to count area mosques and determine the nature of their membership. Alikhan opposed this simple anti-terror measure - and now he is at the DHS.
That's not all. Obama has, in a stunning act of sponsoring terror, invited the propaganda television station of Hamas, Al-Quds TV, to film propaganda here in the United States on the dime of US taxpayer dollars.
Then, Obama honored an enemy of Israel. According to journalist Richard Baehr, Obama announced that he was "presenting the Medal of Freedom to Mary Robinson. So who is Mary Robinson? An enemy of Israel to begin, and the host and mastermind of the first Durban conference" - the conference that made Islamic anti-Semitism official United Nations policy.

But there is one appointment Obama has failed to make. The Jerusalem Post reported: "The Obama administration has failed to name an envoy for monitoring and combating anti-Semitism around the world, as mandated by US law, since the previous ambassador was relieved of his duties at the start of the president's term more than six months ago, officials said Thursday."
Rafael Medoff, director of the Washington DC-based David S. Wyman Institute for Holocaust Studies, explained: "Foot-dragging on the selection sends a message that anti-Semitism is not of great importance to the United States."
Obama sat in Reverend Wright's pew for 20 years. Twenty years - and he disingenuously claims that he didn't hear that anti-Semitic hate preacher over the state of the art sound system in that church? He heard every word. And from the looks of his policies since he has become president, he agreed with what he heard. Heartily.
Bishop E. W. Jackson, Sr., of Exodus Faith Ministries, sounds the alarm:
"Those who are paying attention and thinking about these issues do not find it unreasonable to consider that President Obama is influenced by a strain of anti-Semitism picked up from the Black community, his leftist friends and colleagues, his Muslim associations and his long period of mentorship under Jeremiah Wright. If this conclusion is accurate, Israel has some dark days ahead. For the first time in her history, she may find the president of the United States siding with her enemies. Those who believe as I do that Israel must be protected had better be ready for the fight. We are. Never again!"
I would not be surprised if, when Obama finally names an anti-Semitism envoy, he takes the opportunity to appoint an Islamophobia czar.

Canada: Arab Group Deprived of $447,000 Grant

(IsraelNN.com) The Canadian government is seeking to ensure that it does not support racist, terrorist or hate groups – and has already stripped the Canadian Arab Federation of a $447,000 grant.

Jason Kenney, Canada’s Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism, appears to be heading the drive against anti-Semitism and other forms of racism. He has specifically targeted the Canadian Arab Federation (CAF) for criticism over the past year and more, and has also had harsh words for the Canadian Islamic Congress (CIC).

Kenney has described the above groups as having "no real constituency. They have an e-mail account. They have a fax machine. And they have a blowhard who's willing to get on television and say the most audacious things that attract media attention. We, as a government, should not give them additional credibility.”

Kenney and the CAF have been verbally battling each other for two years, beginning in March 2007 when Kenney called the CAF a “racist organization.” A year later, an aide to Kenney said the CAF was “not an anti-racist organization, but an anti-Semitic one.” The CAF continued to raise Kenney’s ire by calling Israel “racist,” and for criticizing the Canadian government for saying Israel’s anti-terrorist war in Gaza was a “measured response” and pulling out of the Durban II conference.

Kenney, for his part, angered the CAF, when he said this past January, "It is shocking to think that flags of banned terrorist organizations such as Hizbullah are being flown in the streets of Canadian cities. The ideals these terrorist organizations preach are abhorrent to the fundamental values of the Canadian people and of all civilized peoples: freedom, democracy, human rights and the rule of law.” In addition, in response to CAF press releases during Israel’s recent Operation Cast Lead in Gaza, Kenney’s press aide said, “There is no need for you [CAF] to send me your press releases. I am not interested in reading them. Thank you for your cooperation… Actually, on second thought, keep writing me. Your e-mails are hilarious.”

Things came to a head last month when the president of CAF, Khaled Mouammar, called Minister Kenney a "professional whore" for his denunciation of Hamas and Hezbollah. This was followed by the removal of the grant to CAF, which will take effect next year.

Kenney has been accused of making this decision because of the insult that had been leveled at him, but he denies it. "If that misunderstanding exists, I absolutely regret it," he responded. "I didn't create the misunderstanding… I regret that, because to some extent I think it has diverted attention away from the real issue, which has nothing to do with name calling whatsoever. Thank G-d we don't live in a country where people with political authority can be vindictive in that way. I think that would be really ridiculous.”

In a speech at the University of Toronto last week, Kenney said that the “de-legitimization" of Israel is "both a cause and a consequence of the new anti-Semitism," hiding behind a pose of multiculturalism. He noted "the disturbing comfort of a small minority in Canadian academia with this odious new anti-Semitism [that is] packaged up as anti-Zionism.”

Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper spoke out against anti-Semitism in his country at a Chabad-Lubavitch event earlier this month. "Anti-Semitism is a pernicious evil that must be exposed [and] repudiated whenever and wherever it appears. Fueled by lies and paranoia we have learned from history, it is an evil so profound, indeed as we saw in Mumbai, that it is ultimately a threat to us all. Under our government, Canada will remain an unyielding defender of Jewish religious freedom, a forceful opponent of anti-Semitism in all of its forms and a staunch supporter of a secure and democratic state of Israel," he told the applauding audience.

Trying times are upon us with the economic meltdown from corrupt investment houses and banks who are getting rewarded with massive bailouts by their gov't friends with the peoples money. The ships of state on the worlds ocean are in rough water and many small boats of the people are swamped.
The battleship Maine event, Pearl Harbour , the Twin towers , and the current death of the dollar all seem related to the US willfully getting out of God's will.
Only repentance can reverse the 'what you sow- you reap' Law. God help us all and may we look to Jesus who has all the answers for us .
